Aloha from Honolulu!
As many of you know, I am vacationing in Honolulu right now. It’s only been a few days, but it’s fantastic so far! I’m enjoying the sun’s kiss, salt on my skin (post ocean swimming), sand in-between my toes, the gorgeous views and tropical beverages. I also appreciate the slower, more relaxed pace out here. It helps me slow down too. Ah, the Hawaiian way.
Meanwhile, here are a few photos from my trip so far for you to enjoy. There’ll be more to come!

Hawaiian Merry Christmas above the entryway to Whole Foods. I know my sis, Amanda, will appreciate this!

About to embark on a boozy, music-pumping catamaran ride with a captain named, Rabbit. Near the end of the ride, when we were heading back to the beach, a young guy proposed to his lady. It was exciting and the first time I ever witnessed a proposal happen in front of me. She said yes and they got to jump off the boat and go for a celebratory dip. Jesse and I already know we’re going to get married, but regardless, I told him I wouldn’t want a public proposal. Still, it was fun to witness.

Fresh cajun-spiced mahi mahi tacos with lettuce wraps instead of tortillas. Served with fresh guacamole, pico de gallo, cilantro and lime. No, I didn’t eat the sour cream. I actually didn’t know it came with it, otherwise I would’ve asked for it without. These were delicious! You can’t beat the fresh fish out here! Yes, that orchid is real too. Beautiful touches, huh?

Jesse digging into his mai tai at Duke’s on Waikiki.

See the pink hotel? That’s the Royal Hawaiian, a hotel known for its luxury and romance, which was built in 1927. Its style was influenced by popular screen actor at the time, Rudolph Valentino. It’s known as the “Pink Palace of the Pacific.” This is also where the Brady Bunch family stayed when they traveled to Hawaii. Has anyone else seen the Hawaii Brady Bunch episodes (and all the others, for that matter) hundreds of times, like me? Don’t worry, I didn’t find a bad luck tiki like Bobby did. Even if I did, I would not pick it up!

I’m so jealous of the arm weather! You look so happy, enjoy the vacation!
Jealous! I spent like 8 Christmas’s in Hawaii (various islands) as a kid. My grandma didn’t like the cold (even though we lived in California where it’s not really “cold”) so she and my Dad and I all went to Hawaii for Christmas. It was awesome! Enjoy the sunshine and the pineapple.
I’m jealous! Looks like a blast- have lots of fun!
Thanks ladies! I’m having lots of fun
Looks like you’re having a blast! Enjoy
Looks so gorgeous!! Can’t wait to see more pics!!!
