Love and Prayers for Boston

Taking a time out today to honor those involved in the Boston Marathon tragedy yesterday. These events always break my heart and make me sad for humankind, but it was especially scary this time around because I actually knew two people involved. Both my school instructors were there running the marathon and one of them finished only 10 minutes before the first bomb went off. Thankfully, they are both okay, but very shook up, and rightfully so.

What I want to know is when this is all going to stop. Tragedies like this are becoming far too frequent. Meanwhile, please send your love, strength and prayers to Boston.

I know it’s so terrible that these things keep happening, sorry for your friends who were there glad to read they are ok. BUT let’s remember that the media only shows us one side of a story, they never show us all those innocent civilians (many children) killed in air strikes in Afghanistan, the most recent last week. No one life is more important than another and as long as these acts of violence occur by the hands of these monsters innocents on both sides will pay. I feel sorry for humanity seriously… It’s just so messed up!

I agree, Naz and know that there’s much tragedy and heartbreak going on elsewhere in the world too. It just becomes more of a reality check when it’s closer to home (and in this case, knowing people involved). It’s all so sad and I feel very sorry for humanity as well.

I know it becomes a million times worse when it hits close to you. Just glad that you’re friends came through fine, I can’t imagine how they must have felt being there 😦
